Jerry Wayne Moody, 78, of Fouke, AR. died April 28, 2015 at home in Sacramento, California.

Jerry was born March 8, 1937 in Fouke and was a retired County Sheriffs Deputy.

He was also a volunteer at Kaiser Hospital in California and received the Presidents Volunteer Service award in 2012.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Fouke, Arkansas, Akdar Masonic Lodge 555, Akdar Shrine, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Scottish Rite and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 255, Long Beach, Califonia.

His passion was playing senior softball and was known for his sense of humor.

Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his son, Terrance Moody.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Diane Moody of Sacramento, Ca, ; daughter, Michelle Moody of Tulsa; son Michael Moody of Tulsa ; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Pierce Purifoy of Fouke ; step-daughter, Carrie and Michelle Cranford; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Concard Cemetery, Fouke, Arkansas under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
