She was the wife of the late Walter Lewis.
Born in Taunton she was a daughter of the late Antone and Emily (Lopes) Aguiar.
Lillian was a longtime resident of Whittenton and a member of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, where she was active in the Women’s Guild. As a young woman she worked at her husband’s family restaurant the Lewis Lodge. Later in life Lillian worked at the Robinson Curtain Factory in Taunton until her retirement.
Mrs. Lewis was an independent, fun and lively woman who was loved by her many friends and family whom she loved spending time with, going out to dinner and playing cards. When she wasn’t with friends you could find her caring for or playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Reed and husband Albert, brother; Robert Aguiar and wife Lucille, sister-in-law; Carol Aguiar, grandson; Michael Reed and wife Terri, granddaughter; Jaime Brosnan and husband James, great grandchildren; Wyatt, Eli, and Waylon Reed, Olivia, James Jr., Owen, Jacob and Orianna Brosnan and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Aguiar, Geraldine Compos and her husband Sonny, and Ann Arsenault and husband Charlie.
Lillian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed, but has gone home in peace to those awaiting her.
Her funeral with visitation will be held on Friday April 27, 2018 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton St., Taunton at 11am.
Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
