Annie (Martin) Hix was born on April 12, 1867 in Tennessee, the daughter of William Henry Martin (1828-1901) and Mary Belle (Knott) Martin (1834-1884).
She was married about 1886 to John Collins Hix (1864-1947), the son of James Lewis Hix (1833-1906) and Hulda Ann (Holt) Hix (1836-1883).
Living at 1007 Caruthers Avenue in Nashville, she was 77 years old and married when she died on June 5, 1944 of an intestinal obstruction at Saint Thomas Hospital, where she had been for three days. Burial was on June 7th in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
