WESSON - Marvin Massey, 92, a retired postmaster, died of heart failure Thursday at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
Services are 10 a.m. today at Strong Hope Baptist Church with burial in Strong Hope Cemetery. Stringer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Massey was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher for 42 years. He was a Sunday school superintendent and choir member.
He was a master Mason for 57 years. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. He coached and taught several several years.
Survivors include: wife, Nell; son, Gene Massey of Hattiesburg; brother, Wayne Massey of Memphis; and three grandchildren.
