Martha Ann Gross, 87, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing surrounded by two of her daughters and a dear friend, Anne Findlay.

She was born June 28, 1930, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Leo and Ida Olive (Armstrong) Waters.

She was united in marriage to Edward Gross on December 6, 1947, at the First Baptist Church in Jefferson City. Edward preceded her in death on December 16, 2017.

Martha attended services at the United Methodist Church in Russellville with her daughter, Peggy.

A homemaker, Martha was an excellent seamstress doing upholstery work and all types of hand work. She enjoyed gardening and loved to fish with her family that included deep sea fishing in Mexico. Martha was an avid dancer, and enjoyed teaching clogging and line dancing for the Jefferson City Park Board and Capital Ritz. She and her daughter, Rhonda, would often give clogging demonstrations before classes taught by her husband, Edward.

Survivors include three daughters, Peggy (Dale) Edwards, Russellville; Rhonda (Greg Sanning) Sherwood, Jefferson City; Kathy (Greg) Johnston, Leander, TX; one granddaughter, Carol (Clint) Gregg, Olathe, Kansas; and two great- grandchildren, Ashley Gregg and Alex Gregg.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters, Helen Ehardt, Cleo LaFollette, Mary Jane Helms, Barbara Sue Campbell, and an infant sister, Loavalee Waters.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 Noon, Friday, May 4, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service will be 12 Noon, Friday, May 4, 2018 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. John Kerr officiating.

Burial will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
