Mr. Robertson was born in Christian County, on August 9, 1925, the son of the late John T. and Nannie Mae Cayce Robertson. He was a carpenter for John T. Robertson Builders. He was a member of Flat Lick Cumberland Presbyterian Church In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Nell Pryor Robertson in2009; his sons, Mickey L. Robertson in 2001, David Robertson in 2009, and Jerry K. Robertson in 1994..
Survivors include his daughters, Cheryl A. Hardy of Clarksville, TN and Sandra J. Shelton of Columbia, TN; seven grandchildren, Lori, Tammy, Sherry, David, Liz, Jackie, and Amanda; fourteen great grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon, James, Bryan, Kaiden, Jared, Whitney, Emily, William, Kyler, McKynna, Ryleigh, Austin and Tyler; and a great-great granddaughter, McKenna.
