Sandy Starkey, of Pensacola Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on April 23, 2018 with her family members by her side. She was born to Hazel and William Yourkewitz on February 19, 1947. She is survived by her Husband of 53 years, Larry D. Starkey and by her four children: Peg Kearney of Benson, Arizona, Lisa Hylton of Pensacola, Florida, Laura Owens of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Andy Starkey of Pensacola, Florida. Sandy was blessed with eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Sandy was a devout Catholic who was involved in many ministries, including the Bereavement Committee, at Saint Anne Catholic Church at Bellview.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 5200 Saufley Field Road. Pensacola, Florida. The Visitation will be from 11am – 12pm with the Funeral Mass to start at 12pm. The Grave Site Ceremony at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station will take place at 2:00pm. A reception to follow the grave site ceremony at St. Anne’s Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Sandra’s name to The American Cancer Society.
