Paul Ray Duncan, 72, of Kell, passed away at 7:25 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born May 6, 1945, in Salem, the son of Herman Admiral and Gladys Irene (Powell) Duncan. On May 30, 1964, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, he married Stella Finn, and she survives.
He graduated from Salem High School, and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver for Egyptian Concrete for 23 years. Mr. Duncan was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman.
In addition to his wife, Stella Duncan of Kell, he is survived by three sons, Tony Duncan and wife Susan of Iuka, Rick Duncan and wife Kim of Kell, and Doug Duncan and wife Tiffany of Kell; nine grandchildren, Jason Gillespie, Ericka Duncan, Shianna Duncan, Kaleb Bracken, J.D. Sullivan, Ursa Matlock, Cody Heser, Jacob Heser, and Nikki Heser; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Goostree and husband Zane of Salem, and Brenda Ray and husband Kenny of Dyersburg, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Pauline Sands; and one brother, Leroy Duncan.
Funeral services for Mr. Duncan will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Rte. 161 Extension, Iuka, Illinois, with Pastor Randy Hayes and Pastor Lance Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 130, Dix, Illinois 62830.
