FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY FOR JOHNNIE BEAVERS

Funeral services for Johnnie Elmo Beavers, 73, a pioneer resident of McCurtain county, were held yesterday at 2 p.m. in the Presbyterian church at Broken Bow, with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating.

Mr. Beavers was born October 22, 1884 in Pinta County Texas. He moved to Broken Bow in 1923, coming here from Sherwood.

A retired game ranger, he had ben an employee of the Oklahoma fish and game department for 30 years, and was a 32nd degree Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Lece; one son, John Surell Beavers, Santa Paulo, Calif.; two daughters, Miss Linson Beavers, Shawnee, and Mrs. Vincent Hill, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Ira Alexander, Hayfork, Calif., Mrs. R.L. Park, Seminole, Mrs. Clint Owens, Savanah, Mrs. Ira Harris and Mrs. Albert Michelin, both of Broken Bow; one brother, Hobb Beavers, Hochatown.

Burial was in the Denison cemetery under the direction of Coffey Funeral home.
