Walter E. Gardner of Eustis, Florida passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the age of 86 years. He was born in Brooklyn, New York. Walter proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Several years later, he also served in the US Coast Guard Reserves.

Walter married the love of his life, Joan. They were married for 64 years before she passed away in March of 2017. Walter and Joan moved to this area in 1992 from Milford, New Jersey. He was a member of St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis.

Walter was a collector and loved model trains and collecting coins. He was also a Golf enthusiast.

He worked part time at Eagles Dunes Golf Course as Ranger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan E. Gardner; son, William E. Gardner in 2012. Daughter, Joanne E. Gardner in 2017.

Walter is remembered and will be dearly missed by his daughter, Susan E. Stutz of New Jersey; sons, Walter E. Gardner of Florida and James R. Gardner of New Jersey; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
