Funeral services for Edward Lee Hatten, age 77, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia. Interment will follow at Welcome Home Cemetery in Garyson. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Edward Lee Hatten was born on June 30, 1941 to the union of his parents Alvin Edward Hatten and Dorothy Price Hatten and he passed from this life on April 24, 2018 at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida following a brief illness. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Carl Ray Hatten, James Hatten, and Joe Hatten and by his sister: Linda Hatten. Lee worked most of his life as a brick mason as did his father. His brick work, like his dad's, was of the highest caliber. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his sons: Alvin E. Hatten, Frank Hatten, and Jeff Hatten; daughters: Lucretia C. Shipp and Kimberly J. Sears; brothers: Johnny Hatten and Craig Hatten; sisters: Bonnie Hatten, Jan Hatten Parmer, Sandy Brown, and Cindy McKee' 13 grandchildren and11 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Alvin Hatten, Frank Hatten, Jeff Hatten, Hunter Nichols, Marcus Silvie, and Christopher Dyess.
