William Stewart Alston, 65, died Friday, October 28, at the State Hospital at Talihina following an illness of several years duration.
Born in Chapel Hill, Arkansas, April 18, 1890, he had resided in Broken Bow for 50 years. He was in the real estate business and was a member of the Baptist church.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist church with Rev. Forrest Wicks, Rev. R.A. Highsmith and Rev. Cecil Henson officiating.
Burial was in the Denison cemetery under the direction of the Coffey funeral home.
Bearers were Major Dean, Joe Hough, Morris Scott, Herschel Brock, F.C. Hall and Merle Gaddy.
He is survived by his wife; one son, William of the home; two daughters, Mrs. George Palmer, Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. London Westbrook, Lubbock, Texas, and three grandchildren.
