August 1, 1941 - April 24, 2018
Brenda Carnes Camp, 76, of Villa Rica, Georgia died Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Villa Rica, Georgia on August 1, 1941 the daughter of the late Buford Bryant Carnes and the late Varah Emma Mitchell Carnes.
She lived most of her lifetime in this area and worked for twenty plus years with the Fairfield Plantation Property Owners Association. After leaving Fairfield, she began a career with Advantage Office Solutions where she remained until she decided to retire with nineteen years of service. Brenda had a magnetic personality that just naturally drew people to her. They were captivated by her unique quick wit and sense of humor and before long, they were a part of her lifelong "circle of friends". She had a beautiful and kind spirit and was one of the sweetest people you had ever met ----BUT----she had a ''BITE" that could put you in your place when she thought you were wrong or were being unfair or unkind to someone for no good reason. She was a loving and dedicated mother and sister and always worked to make life better for her family and for her awesome grandchildren whom she loved so much. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Villa Rica and for many years was a member of the choir. She truly lived the "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" life. Long after she is gone, many of us will find a smile on our face just thinking about something Brenda had done or said and it will brighten our day. Rest in peace "pretty lady", you WILL be missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bobbie Jean Porter.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Camp and his wife, Lonell, and Barry Camp and his wife, Danette; her brother, Jimmy Carnes of Villa Rica; extended generations.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. from the chapel of the J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Villa Rica.
