Danny R. Robertson, 69, of Pontiac, passed away at 3:26 pm on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac with Pastor Don Leonard officiating. Private inurnment will be in Cornell Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services. Memorial contributions in his name may be left to the American Heart Association. Calvert & Martin Funeral Home in Pontiac is handling the arrangements.
Danny was born on April 8, 1949 in Streator, IL, a son of Allen and Dorothy (Hartness) Robertson. He married Kathy Gourley on August 25, 2012 in Cornell, IL, she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters: Nikki Reed of Shelbyville,IL and Sherry Cavanaugh of Poplar Bluff, MO; one brother: Donald of Poplar Bluff, MO; two stepchildren: Stephanie Vitzthum and Christopher Gourley five grandchildren; one great grandson and three step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Angie Robertson.
Danny was employed at Pontiac Chair Factory until 1988. He then worked at Carriage House in Streator, IL and Advance Auto Parts Store in Pontiac.
