Faye was the daughter of Albert and Maggie Adkins Messinger and the wife of 74 years to, James Verlin Franklin whom preceded her in death. Faye and James had three daughters; Avoline Adkins, Peggy Saunders and Linda Midkiff and her husband Lanny, all of Huntington, two sons; James Franklin and wife Jean of Huntington and the Rev. Forrest Franklin and wife Carrie of Chesapeake, Ohio, seven grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grand children.
Faye was owner and operator of several business establishments in the area. She was a volunteer at Cabell Huntington Hospital and provided communtiy service throughout Lincoln County, West Virginia. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
