Marshall Edward “Eddie” Jenkins, 66 years old, passed away April 23, 2018, at CAMC Memorial Hospital follow a long battle with diabetes.

The son of the late Wharton Jenkins (Deceased) and Ethel Jenkins (Deceased), Eddie was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, John Cole (Deceased).

Eddie worked in the coal mining industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but his main interest was golf. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his golfing buddies at the Brier Patch. Eddie enjoyed the companionship and loved his Jack Russell Terrier, Smokey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved, wife, Susan Jenkins; his daughters, Marsha Jenkins-Stover of Piedmont, SC, and Tina Jenkins-Reed of Midway; stepdaughter, Andrea Akers and husband, James Akers; four grandchildren, Tiffaney Jenkins and fiancé Jamie Smith, Nathan Akers, Ryan Akers, and Justin Reed; sister, Brenda Jenkins-Cole and companion, Charles of FL; niece, Angela Cole-Thompson and husband, Bill Thompson of OH; and a special great-niece, Whitney Thompson of AL.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Melton Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Ken Hawes is officiating. The burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
