Paul Anthony Roach, Sr., 62, of Monroe, passed away at his home on Friday, January 19, 2018. He was born in Chattanooga, TN to the late Paul and Elnora Jean Roach. Paul was a member of Common Ground Community Church in Covington. He was devoted to the police department and retired from the City of Hampton. Paul enjoyed traveling to the mountains, gardening, and muscle cars. He adored his grandchildren. Paul was known by his family as a great man, the best dad, and great big brother. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many.
Paul is survived by his loving wife, Patti Roach of Monroe; children and spouses, Toni & Jason Brazell of Gastonia, NC, Jaun Paul & Marie Roach of Gastonia, NC, Michael McLendon of Conyers, Bubba Roach of Madison, GA, Robert McLendon of Conyers and Richard McLendon of Conyers; 10 grandchildren, Dawson, Will, Kayden, Summer, Kayleigh, Brantley, Justin, Dixie Ann, Caleb, and Olivia; brothers, Carl Roach of Monroe and Garland Roach of Ormond Beach, FL; niece, nephew and a host of many friends.
Celebration Service for Paul will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home, with Pastor Ron Compton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service, located at 11405 Brown Bridge Road, Covington, Georgia. Flowers are accepted, house plants only or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the City of Hampton Police Department.
