He was a member of City Church and a member of Hill City Lodge # 199 F&AM. He earned his associates degree in law enforcement, worked for various agencies over a lengthy career in law enforcement and owned New Hope Deli.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hamilton Haynes Blackstone, Sr. and Mary Frances Ervin Blackstone and a sister, Kathy Dodd.
Survivors include his children, Troy (Laura) Blackstone, Kristie Blackstone and Brandon (Katie) Blackstone; six grandchildren, John, Blakely, McKayla, McKenzie, Braxton Blackstone, and Brooklyn Jones; two sisters, Carolyn Hennessee and Norma Toombs; ex-wife, Deborah Blackstone who was a big part of his life and whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
