Randy Scott Brewer, age 63, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at his home in Canyon Lake, TX. He was born on August 18, 1954 in Houston, to Alice Heinatz and Billy Hugh Brewer.

Randy grew up in Texas City and moved to Baytown when he was 14 years old. He graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1972 and attended Lee College. Randy began his career at Exxon in 1974. He retired in 2013 from their facility in Torrance, CA and moved to Canyon Lake. His many hobbies included astronomy traveling, photography and woodworking. His greatest accomplishment was being “Dampa” to Emori.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Katie Mae and John Madison Heinatz and Rose and Grady Moore; his parents; and brothers, John Bruce and Bo Brewer.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dolly Brewer of Canyon Lake; son, Jeremy Brewer of Belton; daughter and son-in-law Stephanie Brewer and Tom Brady of Morrison, CO; sisters and brother-in-law, Rose Brewer Shaver of Houston and Julie and Jerry Horton of Santa Fe, TX; brother, Gene Bruce of Hitchcock; stepmother, Margaret Brewer of Houston; mother-in-law; Margaret Minter of Baytown; and his precious granddaughter; Emori Brewer.

His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday, April 27, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Smithson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Hollaway, Gary Hollaway, Mark Hollaway, Mark Hollaway, Jr., Greg Hollaway, Larry Hollaway, Aaron Prince, and Colton Horton. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Hollaway, Jerry Horton, and Tom Brady.
