She was born October 31, 1946 in Dodson, Louisiana and was an active member of East Winnfield Baptist Church where she loved her Grace Sunday School class. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend to all who knew her, but most importantly, a special "MawMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hemphill was preceded in death by her her loving husband of 49 years, Quincy Hemphill; father, LE Vines; mother, Pauline Lasyone Vines; brothers, Jerry Vines and Loyd Vines; sister, Sammie Vines.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three sons, Jeffrey Hemphill and wife Tiffany, Darin Hemphill and Quinn Hemphill and wife Tanya all of Dodson, LA.; grandchildren, Caitlin, Lacey, Kelli, Kaleb, Karson, Tabatha, Tyler, Logan, Hope, Megan, Jerri, Shelby and Jessica; great-grandchildren, Slade, Tucker, Carter, Adrianna, Jaxon, Paisley and Avery; brothers, BL Vines and Barron Vines; and numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at East Winnfield Baptist Church with Reverends Gary Wright and Dick Debusk officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, in Georgetown under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Vines, Shawn Vines, Benny Vines, Robert Johns, Tyler Hemphill, Logan Hemphill, Kaleb Hemphill and Murphy Chestnut.
Honorary pallbearers will be M.G Perry, Gene Sweat, Buddy Ferrand, Bobby Creel and John L. Mixon.
