Raymond "Paul" Harper, of Moore, Oklahoma, passed away April 21, 2018, at the age of 71.He was born June 14, 1946, in Clayton, Oklahoma, to Gene & Rose (Breshears) Harper.

Paul heard his country's call and enlisted in the United States Air Force after graduating. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era for one year. Paul was a Radar Operator stationed in Bam Tau, Vietnam, and served for a total of six years. He was very patriotic, and always flew his flag at his house. Paul enjoyed riding motorcycles, feeding and watching birds and squirrels. He also enjoyed barbequing, traveling, and going out to eat, especially at Jimmy's Egg. Paul also enjoyed driving to Talihina, Oklahoma, to see the fall foliage. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul and his wife, Cheryl had several kids they adopted as their own and they called him "Grandpa."

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cheryl Harper; 2 sons, Stephen Jackson; Eddie Jackson & wife, Sherry; 2 daughters, Diane McCall & husband, Michael, and Shelly Warlick & husband, Ronnie; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer Marsala, James Jackson, Frankie Jackson, Amanda Marsala, Cheyenne Jackson, Sarah Warlick, Dylan Warlick, Savannah Jackson, Christina McCall, and Michaela McCall; 3 great-grandchildren, Adrian Marsala, Damian Williams, and Gentry Myers; 1 brother, Harvey harper & wife, Judy; aunt, Pat Mayo & husband, Jim; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other loving family members and friends. Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Gene & Rose Harper; sister, Kathy Sutton; and brother-in-law, Larry Sutton.

A Funeral Mass for Paul will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 26, 2018, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 800 NW 5th Street, in Moore, Oklahoma, with Father Jack Feehily officiating. He will be laid to rest at Moore Cemetery, in Moore, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, Moore, Oklahoma.
