Brenda Lou Long, 54, of Graham, Missouri, passed into eternity on Monday, April 23, 2018, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph.

Brenda was born October 12, 1963, in Fairfax, Missouri, to Carol and JoAnn (Patterson) Long. She was a 1982 graduate of Nodaway-Holt R-VII, and a 1990 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University. She had lived in the Graham area most of her life. She was a member of the Graham United Methodist Church.

After graduating from college, she worked in Chicago for a time, but returned to the area. She held various positions during the years including a position with AFLAC. She enjoyed working with young people, especially with VBS, and church activities. Her biggest joy was her children and their activities, especially sports.

She leaves behind two children, Carson Long (Elizabeth Walden), Ohio, and Jordan Long, Maryville; siblings, Teresa Carter, Skidmore, Carolyn (Eldon) Hayes, Graham, Rusty Long, Maitland, Cindy (Ron) Capps, Albany, and special friend, Wayne Johnson. Brenda is also survived by bonus sisters; Angela Baxter, Kansas City, Mary Marriott, Maryville, Teresa Sanders, Burlington Junction; Gayle Bond, Graham, and Patti Riley, Graham; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and grand-dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Ralph and Juanita (Couch) Patterson and Clarence and Ruth (Ellison) Long, cousin, Kim Pruett, and friend, Pat (Stinnett) Thompson.

Services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Bram Funeral Home, in Maryville, Missouri. The burial will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery, in Graham, Missouri.

The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Bram Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Lions Eye Bank of Missouri.
