Evans Henry Horn, 68, of Raven, Va., died Wednesday at his home after an apparent heart attack.
Born in Marvin, Va., he was a son of the late Smiley W. and Sarah Jane Stilwell Horn.
He was a retired coal operator, having operated the Horn Coal Co. at Raven. He was a member of the Free Pentecostal Holiness Church.

His first wife, Mrs. Nona Davis Horn, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Linkous and Otis Horn.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rosalie Stilwell Horn; two daughters, Mrs. Andy (Madeline) Horn of Raven and Mrs. Junior (Dorothy) Newberry of Raven; three sons, Rev. Elster Horn of Star Route, Raven, Emory Horn of Pounding Mill, Va., and Donald Horn of Raven; one step-daughter, Mrs. Laura Wheley of War; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Osborne of Pounding Mill, Mrs. Dealy Barton of Richlands, Va., Mrs. Pearlie Stilwell and Mrs. Virginia Stilwell of Raven; three brothers Letcher and Sherman Horn of Richlands and Roby Horn of Tazewell, Va., sixteen grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great-child.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Richlands Tabernacle with Rev. Grat Horton, Rev. Ancil Childress, Rev. Squire Horne and Rev. Jack Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va.

Pallbearers: Daniel, Gary, Dorsel, Roy, Ira, Russell and Ted Horn, and Larry Barton. Honorary pallbearers: Jack Persinger, T.G. Shufflebarger, E.W. Lindsay, Dr. W.R. Strater, Charlie Adair and John Davis.
