She was born in Franklin County, June 5, 1945, to Noah and Velma Keen Rushing.
Mrs. Annell was a member of Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in Smithdale for over 30 years. She loved to shop and spend time with her grandchildren, and especially loved her poodle, Walker.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, James, Roger, Paul and C.H. Rushing.
She is survived by one son, Robert Kyle Thompson and wife, Lori, of GA; a daughter, Susan Thompson Shedd and husband, Brad, of MS; two grandchildren, Brooke Shedd and Lane Shedd and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit, MS, from 5PM until 8PM, and will continue Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church in Smithdale, MS, from 12PM until memorial services at 1PM with Bro. Rick Kennedy officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
