Pat Baumgartner, age 68, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died Wednesday morning, April 18, 2018 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital – Harry Hynes Hospice Unit in Wichita. Pat worked for 29 years as secretary for Lincoln Elementary School and retired in 2014.

Pat Baumgartner was born on November 12, 1949 in Wellington, to Theodore Albert Ross and Patricia (Doyle) Ross. She was raised on a farm four miles east of Belle Plaine, and graduated from Belle Plaine High School with the Class of 1967.

Pat married Arlen M. Baumgartner on September 2, 1967 at the Presbyterian Church in Belle Plaine.She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their sporting events. They lived near Mayfield KS.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, T. A. Ross, Jr.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Arlen of Mayfield; one son, Al Baumgartner and his wife Tina of Derby; one daughter, Amber McCorkle and her husband Mike of Wellington; two brothers, Frank Ross and his wife Glinda of Greeley, CO and Gary Ross and his wife Donna of Franktown, CO; one sister, Sue Cowles and her husband Bill of Mayfield, KS; seven grandchildren, Cameron, Jacob, Wyatt, Brooke, Brianna, Cole and Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services held at the Mayfield Federated Church in Mayfield, KS on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. Pastor Valjean Warman will officiate the service. Interment followed the service at the Chicaskia Cemetery in Mayfield.

A memorial has been established with the Mayfield Federated Church.
