Patricia Ann Crowley Downes Ritter, 77 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, April 21, 2018, Tyler, Texas.
Services will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Curt Rutledge, Sr. officiating. Interment will be held at Eastview Cemetery under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
Patricia was born Friday, September 13, 1940 in Henrietta, Texas; she was the daughter of the late Russell Crowley and the late Bertha Hargrove Crowley. She was married to Elbert "Bud" Ritter. She had lived most of her life in Vernon. She was a graduate of nursing school in 1960 at Christ King Nursing program. She worked for 25 years as Director of Nursing at Vernon Care Center. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Avenger, TX.
She is survived by her husband Elbert "Bud" Ritter of Jefferson, TX. one son JR Ritter (Glenda) of Vernon, TX, three sisters, Ruby Adams of Iowa Park, TX, Connie Bearden of Vernon, TX and Linda O'Neal of Holliday, TX; 7 grandchildren; Luis Flores, Lori Flores, Christopher Ritter, Jeremy Downes, J.D. Downes, Lacie Downes and Matthew Wood and 23 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two son David and Jeffery Downes, two grandchildren Samuel and Ryan Flores, one sister Jeanie Miller.
Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2018 at 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home.
