Mr. Hill was born on June 19, 1932 in Newport, a son of the late Rensselaer and Dorothy (Molineux) Hill.
He received his education at West Canada Valley Central School and enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in 1952. Brian served during the Korean War and was wounded in action on October 27, 1952 in Korea. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart Medal for injuries sustained and was honorably discharged in 1955 at the rank of Private. Brian also received the Korean Service Medal with 3 Service Stars and both the United Nations and National Defense Service Medals.
He was employed as a heavy equipment mechanic in the logging industry in Oregon for many years.
After retiring, he returned to this area where he had since resided.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Bernice Hill of Poland and Eleanor Hill of Utica; and many nieces and nephews. Brian was predeceased by three sisters, Dorothy Mackey, Joan Mackey and Joyce Czech; and by three brothers, Richard, Frank and Jack Hill.
In accordance with Mr. Hill’s wishes, burial will take place in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. There are no calling hours.
