Son of Homer Edward Watson and Bernice Roberts. At an early age sent to live on the farm with his grandparents Joseph Marion Watson & Eliza Clarinda Keaton and uncle Leonard Franklin Watson in Maries County near Dixon, MO.

After completion from high school, went to St. Louis for employment where he met Jean Flesche whom he married August 1, 1959 in Kirkwood, MO. Ron & Jean had two children Patricia Jean and Randall Scott.

Brother to Homer Edward (Jr.), Kenneth Eugene, Joyce Faye, Janice Kay, Michael Ray, Dennis Edward, Linda Gale and Gary James.
