Evelyn L. Froman, 96, of Tuscola, IL, passed away at 10:30 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Tuscola Health Care Center, where she had been a resident since December of 2008, suffering from Alzheimer’s.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home, 705 South Main Street, Tuscola, IL with the Rev. Joseph Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, IL
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the funeral home.
Evelyn was born on March 31, 1922 in Sargent Township, Douglas County, IL, the daughter of Elmer S. and Grace Biddle Chandler. She married Dale H. Froman on March 7, 1942 in Bryant, OH. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2007.
Survivors include her daughters: Pat Jay of Tuscola, Judy (Tom) Powell of Tolono, 3 grandsons: Gary Jay, Steve Powell and Kevin Powell, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Fred and Lowell Chandler, grandson: John Jay and two son-in-laws: Glen Jay and Henry Mohn.
Evelyn was a homemaker and member of the Tuscola Church of the Nazarene.
