Family visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 19, 5:30-7:00 P.M. at the Whitt Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 20, at 12:30 P.M. at the Eastside Church of Christ with Ron Stough, minister, officiating. Interment will follow in the Temple Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home.
Ronnie graduated from Temple High School in 1961. He married, Sandra Jo Lewis on October 26, 1962, in Temple. They raised two children, Rhonda Jo and Rodney Gene.
He began his career at Halliburton Services in March, 1962. He started as a welder and retired from the Construction Maintenance Department in March, 2007, with 45 years of service.
Ronnie enjoyed playing golf weekly. He also loved archery, fishing, hunting, and just about anything outdoors. He retired to farming southwest of Duncan where he and Sandra run a mix of cattle on their farm.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra; children, Rhonda Jo Cooper-Koxlien and husband Chris of Oshkosh, WI, and Rodney Gene Cooper and wife Melody of Irving, TX; grandchildren, Courtney Fixico, Camie Akers, and Joshua Luttrell; great grandchildren, Bryce Akers, Lucius Luttrell, Innara Luttrell, and Aiyana Luttrell; and his mother, Carrie Bernice Cooper of Duncan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene V. Cooper.
