Valeria Freda Jenschke Hubble passed from this earth on April 5, 2018. She was born in Bandera, TX to Christian John Jenschke and Emma Thakla Kunz Jenschke. Valeria ultimately went to Durham Business College where she learned to type and the basics of bookkeeping. She worked for the San Antonio Drug Company and that is where she met the love of her life, Jack Arlen Hubble.
While raising her children, Valeria worked full time for USAA, retiring as an account manager after 27 years. She then went to work in her daughter's dental office, managing accounts, paying bills, and doing payroll for 28 years. She was 86 when she retired from the dental office!!! She was affectionately known by the staff as "Momma Hubble" and helped train them in accounting!!!
She was a beloved grandmother as well, and helped the little ones to learn how to pitch and hit baseballs!!! She helped dad make deer sausage, which he then cured out in the back yard!!! And she made her and her daughter's clothes those first years of early marriage!!! Thanksgiving and Easter and Christmas were big celebrations in the Hubble household. She had vocal opinions about city, state, and national politics. When John F. Kennedy toured San Antonio, before he died, Valeria was on Broadway as he passed by the Old USAA building, and said she could have reached out and touched him. She was very proud that 6 of her 7 brothers served in WWII, and grateful that all made it back to the US alive!
Valeria is pre-deceased by her husband, Jack Arlen Hubble, and her parents, Christian and Emma Jenschke, and her seven brothers, Erwin, Leonard, Werner, Raymond, Pete, Gilbert, Edgar Jenschke, and two of her sisters, Adela Jenschke, and Monica Jenschke Aschbacher. She is survived by her sister, four children, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
