Lorraine Ditmore Morris, age 89, of Tellico Plains, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Sweetwater Hospital. She was of the Baptist faith and past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a great cook and loved the wagon train along with spending 18 years working with the U.S. Forest Service.
Preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Curt Morris, great-grandson, Aiden Cooper, parents, Alex and Sadie Saffles Morris, sisters, Oda Payne, Josephine D. Lobrey, Alene D. Holcomb, half-sisters, Myrtle D. Kirby, Reedy D. Riggs, Viola D. Castille, brothers, Easley Ditmore, Robert Ditmore, Edwin Ditmore, Lowell Dean Ditmore, step-sons, Thomas C. Morris, William Morris, John Fred Morris, Roy Morris, step-daughters, Blanche M. Teague, Margaret Morris, step-grandson, Scott Chumbly.
Survivors, sons, Carl M. Morris and wife Ann of Johnson City, Danny N. Morris, Tony L. Morris and wife Patsy, both of Tellico Plains, Timothy A. Morris and wife Myrtle, of Benton, Jerome C. Morris and wife Shelia, of Madisonville, step-daughter, Doris M. Chumbly of Cleveland, 25 gandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, very special friends, Nicole Gonzales and Dorothy Brinkley.
Graveside service and interment 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, Unicoi Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
