Nancy Ann Horn, age 85, of Chapel Point at Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

She was born March 26, 1932 in Carlisle to the late Theodore Roosevelt and Eleanore (Davis) Franklin.

Nancy was a 1950 graduate of Carlisle High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for Carlisle Building and Loan for 18 years, and as a library aid for the Carlisle School District for 9 years. Nancy was a Den Mother, Den Mother Coach and was on the Boy Scout Committee for Boy Scout Troop 160 at First United Methodist Church for 28 years. She was also active with the Girl Scouts for 25 years as a Brownie Leader for Troop 27 at First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle. Nancy was a 7-year resident of Chapel Pointe at Carlisle where she and her husband were also very active in the weekly church services.

She is survived by: her husband of 63 years, Joseph Ray Horn of Carlisle; a son, David P. (wife Bobbi) Horn of Brown Summit, NC; and granddaughters, Jordan Paige Horn and Haylee Gabrielle Horn, both of Brown Summit, NC. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Ted W. Horn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the chapel at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA with Rev. Steve P. Motter officiating. Burial will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens. There will be a viewing at Chapel Pointe on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA.
