Carl E. Elliott 87, of Centerville, died Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home. He was born on March 24, 1931 in Cumberland, MD a son of the late Howard E. and Ella M. “Bell” (Price) Elliott. On November 21, 1958 in Centerville, he married F. Lucille (Rose) Elliott who preceded him in death on April 5, 2017. He is survived by two daughters: Rhonda L. Gould and husband Roy, of Everett, and Karla S. Foster, of Bedford; a son Tracy W. Elliott and wife Miranda of Goldsboro, NC; eight grandchildren: Travis Gould and wife Susan, Justin Gould, Christine Gould, Haley and Nicholas Foster, Kasie, Brandon, and Dallas Elliott; six great-grandchildren: two brothers: William “Bill” Elliott and wife Fran, of Centerville, and Dale Elliott and wife Lana, of Bedford; and a sister, Myrna Smith and husband Royce of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Lareda Roy, Mary Rose, Eilene Snyder, an infant brother Johnny Elliott, and a brother, Max L. Elliott.
Carl was an Air Force Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Wolf’s Furniture in Cumberland, Potomac Valley Pharmacy delivering hospital equipment and Daryl Clark Auctioneer Service. He enjoyed hunting fishing, attending auctions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the American Legion Post #113 and the Bedford Valley Assembly of God.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m., at the Bedford Valley Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Harold VanDine officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery, with full military rights conducted by the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
