DeWayne Nelson Brown , 40, passed

from this life on November 7, 2011, in

Kansas City, Mo. DeWayne was born

and raised in Raytown, Mo., and shared

his residence between Raytown and

Kansas City. He graduated from Raytown

High School in 1989. He was employed

by Sutherlin Optical in Kansas

City as a Maintenance Supervisor from

November 2004 until his passing. DeWayne

was also a volunteer for the

Kansas City Alliance Raceway Ministry

putting in many long hours at the Kansas

Speedway during race weekends.

He enjoyed listening to music, watching

the races, watching the Chiefs and being

around friends and family. DeWayne is

survived by his mother, Frances Brown ,

and sister, Denise Gass, as well as aunts,

uncles and many cousins. He is preceded

in death by his father, Donald

Brown . Those who are left will honor

and cherish his memory. We had him for

40 years and now God has called him

home. We are so thankful for God's gift

of DeWayne . Funeral services will be

Noon Friday, Nov. 11, at Chapel of

Memories Funeral Home, 30000 E.

Valor Drive, Grain Valley, Mo., with a

visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10,

at the funeral home. He will be laid to

rest in Swan Lake Memorial Park, Grain

Valley. Arrangements: Chapel of Memories
