Craig Marsh, of Callahan, died on April 18, 2018, at the age of 89.
Craig was born in Portal, Georgia on January 11, 1929, the youngest of four children.

Upon graduation from Georgia Teachers College, now Georgia Southern University, in 1950, he and his wife Sue taught school in Brooklet, GA for two years. In 1952, he moved to Callahan, FL to own and operate a Gulf service station for 17 years. He returned to education after earning a Master's Degree from the University of Florida, serving as an administrator and then as a four-term Superintendent of Schools for Nassau County. He retired in 1993 to devote more time to his family and pursue his lifelong love of hunting.

Craig was a Christian, a member and deacon at First Baptist Church Callahan.

Craig is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sue Bailey Burks Marsh; sons Barry of Callahan, and Ed (Sharon) of Griffin, GA; grandchildren Michelle Marsh Adams, Justin Marsh, and Caroline Marsh; great-grandchildren Destini Brock, Faith Hanscom, Taylee Marsh, and Storm Adams; great-great-granddaughter Harlee Brock; sister Peggy Weatherford of Twin City, GA. He is preceded in death by his father, Harville Marsh; mother Eunice Smith Marsh; brother George Marsh; sister Betty Shuman; granddaughter Amanda Marsh Caron.

A viewing will be held on Sunday April 22, 2018 in the Nassau Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Callahan on Monday April 23, 2018 beginning at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lynn Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nassau Funeral Home 541720 US Highway 1 Callahan, Florida 32011
