She was born in St. Anthony, Idaho to Clare T. and Pearl McCling Morgan on April 25, 1926. She met and married Larry Gordon Hill, who passed away on September 19, 1984.
Gay was an eccentric lady who loved life and always lived it to the fullest. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, sailing, traveling, and love of birdwatching. Her needlepointing was legendary to all, especially her famous Christmas stockings. Her love of reading always kept her current and knowledgeable. The door was always open to everyone with love.
Gay was a self-starter and owned Gay M. Hill Field Service Market Research Company for forty-plus years, where people were friends and family and not employees.
She is survived by her son, Gregory G. (Faun) Hill; daughter, Tracy L. Hill Halverson; grandchildren: Brooke, Josh, Marshall, Chrystal, and Paige; eleven great-grandchildren; and many friends and family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl; husband, Larry; brother, Clare; sister, Elda; and granddaughter, Brittany.
The family would like to thank Avalon West Care Center; nurse, Kathy, and other staff; Bristol Hospice; and Rita and Ginny for all their love and care of our dear mother.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South Vine Street (730 East), Murray.
