She was born in Nashua, NH, on June 8, 1931, the daughter of the late Oren and the late Doris M. (Brown) Pike.
Geraldine grew up in Athol and attended Athol schools. She worked as a stitcher at the J. F. MacElwen Shoe Company for 20 years. She also worked as a crossing guard at Pleasant St. School in Athol.
Geraldine enjoyed playing cards, Bingo with her Pequoig chums and scratching lottery tickets with her son-in-law.
She leaves one daughter: Sally Mitchell and her husband Charles of Athol, one son: Thomas E. Baxter of Athol and his wife Judith; two brothers: Oren Pike of CA, James Pike of FL; three grandchildren: Ellen Martin of Erving, Tobi Longchamps of FL, Chad Mitchell of CA; two adopted grandchildren: T.J. Mailloux, Heather Mailloux; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years: Edward C. Baxter; one brother: Robert Pike; two sisters: Margaret Van Duesen, Sylvia Backus.
