October 29, 2009 12:00 am0SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Irving Lee Addison Jr., 77, of South Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at his residence.Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Gilbreath officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday.Irving was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Maskell, Neb., the son of Irving L. and Winnefred J. (Anderson) Addison Sr. He was a heavy construction operator and helped to construct the Gavin's Point Dam. He was employed for various construction companies including Pettit Construction for 17 years. He was also employed at Andersen's Farms for 17 years before retiring.Survivors include a son, Jeff and his wife Jean of Pierson, Iowa; two daughters, Debra Jackson of Orlando, Fla., and Diane Addison of Clinton, Ind.; two brothers and their wives, Jerry and Jean of South Sioux City and Jim and Betty of Fremont, Neb.; a sister, Wally and her husband, Joe Gifford of Valentine, Neb.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-stepgranddaughter.His parents, and a brother, Larry preceded him in death.
