55 year old, Gregory J. Myers of Wheatfield passed away April 20, 2018.
On November 28, 1962, Greg was born to Foster "Doc" and Bernice (Pratl) Myers. Greg graduated from Kankakee Valley High School Class of 1981. He married the love of his life, Ruth Fritts on October 1, 1988 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in DeMotte, IN. He was a Service Tech for Swanel Beverages for 25+ years. He was on the Wheatfield Fire Department for 30 yrs, Wheatfield Town Board for 8 yrs., serving as President for 4 yrs., Wheatfield Jaycees for 10 yrs., member of the Sorrowful Mother Dartball team for 20 yrs., and served as a member of the Wheatfield Township Advisory Board.
Greg is survived by his loving family: wife, Ruth; son, David; siblings, Shirley (Clarence) Misch and Foster "Dan" (Judy) Myers, and many nieces and nephews.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Bernice Myers.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, Wheatfield, Indiana. Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, with Father(s) Paul Cochran and Dan Gartland officiating. Interment will be at the Cemetery of the Resurrection, DeMotte, IN.
