His grave is located next to his mother. There was a tombstone when the cemetery was recorded by Franklin Miller Garrett in 1935. Sometime before 1994 the stone was stolen or destroyed.

Enlisted on 4 Mar 1862 for the Confederacy
Enlisted as a Private in Company E, 42nd Infantry Regiment Georgia.
Promoted to Full Lieutenant 2nd Class on 16 August 1862 Company E, 42nd Infantry Regiment Georgia

He came home sick and died. There was no Will. In the Georgia Probate Records at Newton County Courthouse - there was found a record were his brother William D. Almand is appointed as his Administrator of his estate.
