Susan was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but grew up in Montgomery, AL. in 1973 she moved to Gainesville, FL and was Teacher and Middle School Head at Oak Hall Private School until she retired in July 2007. She received her Master's Degree in the Classics from the University of Florida. Susan and her husband Curtis were both active in the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville, FL. Survivors include her husband Curtis Vinson Harper, daughter and son-in-law, Hollis Harper (David) Wooley, Gainesville, FL., son and daughter -in-law, John Scott (Anna) Harper, Gainesville, FL., brother, John Lee Scott, Gainesville, FL. and two grandchildren, Harper Lee Wooley and Bear Wooley.
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church, 419 N.E. 1st St., Gainesville, FL. Interment will be private for family only.
