Vicki Lynn Mundy Morris died Thursday, May 2, 2002 in Glendora, Los Angeles County, California. For nearly 4 years she had resided at the Emmanuel Health Care Center, a skilled nursing facility. For approximately 20 years Vicki was afflicted with Huntingtons disease, a hereditary, progressive, disorder of the brain. Vicki was 50 years old.

Vicki was born November 6, 1951 at the Rockingham County Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Her family made their home in nearby Elkton, Virginia. She was the youngest of four children, the only daughter of the late Bernard Carlton Mundy and the late June Johnson Mundy. She was predeceased by two of her brothers, James Mundy and Michael Mundy.

On August 17, 1974 in Winchester, Virginia, she was married to Robert E. Bob Morris. In 1975, Vicki graduated cum laude from Shenadoah College and Conservatory of Music, Winchester, Virginia, with a BME degree (Bachelor of Music Education), and a BMC degree (Bachelor of Music Church).

For most of her life she was a wife, mother, and homemaker. In 1975-76, she taught music and was choral director at Montevideo High School in Rockingham County, Virginia. In 1976-77 she taught release-time religious education in Shenandoah County, Virginia. From 1981-1984, while living in Pennsylvania, she was a long-term substitute music teacher. After moving to Bakersfield, California in 1985, she earned a real estate agent license. She has lived in Glendora since 1994. She was a long-time member of the Church of the Brethren denomination where she served as a pastors wife, choir director, pianist, Sunday school teacher, and Annual Conference Delegate.

Vicki made her own wedding dress. She also enjoyed baking bread, sewing, crocheting, needlepoint, and canning fruits and vegetables.

Vicki lived in Bakersfield, with her family, from 1985 until 1994, where she was the pastors wife at the Bakersfield Church of the Brethren, from 1985 until 1991, and Friends Community Church from 1991 until 1994.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Robert E. Bob Morris; sons, David E. and Robert A. Morris, and a daughter, Mandy E. Morris, all of Glendora; a brother, David Mundy of Martinsburg, West Virginia; a paternal aunt, Eleanor Mundy Thompson of Port Arthur, Texas; and her foster parents, David E. and Marty Arbogast of Belington, West Virginia (formerly of Elkton, Virginia).

Visitation will be available Tuesday, May 7, 2002 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Rose Hills Mortuary (formerly Custer-Christiansen, 363 West Route 66 (formerly Alosta Avenue), in Glendora, California 91740 (phone: 626-335-4061). The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at 1 p.m. in the Glendora Church of the Brethren, 151 South Glendora Avenue, Glendora, California 91741 (phone: 626-335-1122). The Rev. Joe Vecchio will officiate. Following the funeral, interment will take place at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Avenue, Glendora, California 91740.

Donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at the Glendora Church of the Brethren, 150 South Vermont Avenue, Glendora, California 91741, or to the Huntingtons Disease Society of America, Greater Los Angeles Chapter, 9903 Santa Monica Boulevard, #106, Beverly Hills, California 90212.
