Denver E. Newell age 77, of Gallipolis, Oh passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 in Bradenton, Fl. Denver was born September 6, 1940 in Mason Co. WV. to the late Lester W. and Nellie M (Higginbotham) Newell.

He was a 1959 graduate of Point Pleasant High School, a member of The Pipefitters local #521 of Huntington, WV., he also worked and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. Denver loved the outdoors and was a member of The Gallia County Conservation Club as well as The Point Pleasant Moose Lodge #732.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Price and a brother, William Newell.
Denver is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Pauline (Weethee) Newell. two sons; Brian (Teresa) Newell and Jeff Newell both of Gallipolis, one grandson, Brandon Newell and two great-granddaughters; Maddison Grace Newell, Braylie Jaide Newell all of Gallipolis.

Services for Denver will be Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Crow-Hussell Funeral Home with visitation from 12-1 and funeral services officiated by Elder Charles Birchfield beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Harmony Cemetery is Southside, WV.

Keeping with Denver's wishes the casket will be closed for visitation as well as the service.
