Justin Allen Graham, 21, of Morehead, KY, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. From Leukemia.

Justin was born on December 23, 1996, in Morehead, to Charles and Lydia (Brown Olinger) Graham. In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by his older brother, Phillip Hodge; his younger sister, Janae Graham, of Morehead, KY; and his soulmate, Brandace J. Walker of Ashland, KY.

He also leaves behind his grandparents, Betty Jean Graham, Lexington, KY; Jesse (Christina) Olinger, Atlanta, GA; Dorinda Robinson, Lexington, KY; and great grandmother, Mattie Belle Olinger, Hazard, KY.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Mason, Lexington, KY; great grandfather, George Olinger Sr., Hazard, KY; great-grandparents, Arzo and Georgia (Cornett) Brown, Hazard, KY; and James and Alice (Taylor) Graham, Lexington, KY. He will be deeply missed by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and community.

Justin was a student-athlete at Rowan County Senior High School where he graduated in 2015 with high academic honors and played football (2011-2013), basketball (2011-2015), baseball (2011-2015), and ran track (2013-2015). As a high school student-athlete, Justin earned the following awards:

RCSHS Awards--2015 Male Athlete of the Year, 2015 Mr. Rowan County, “Most Athletic” Senior Superlative, 2014 Homecoming Court, earned 18 credit hours of Dual Credit Senior Year, 330 reception yds, 411 passing yds, 379 rushing yds, and led the Vikings to two state playoff games.

District/Region Athletic Awards—2012, All EKC Team, 2013 District All Tournament Soccer, 2014 All Area/All Region Soccer, 2014 Baseball Region Player of the Year, 2015 All Area/All District Baseball, 2014 Region Champion in Long Jump, Academic Award, Best Offensive Back Award, Coaches Award

State Awards--Forcht Bank/KHSAA Class Award 2015, Wah Wah Jones Award Recipient 2015

After graduation, he continued as a student-athlete at West Virginia State University playing baseball and working to pursue a degree in engineering and mathematics. While there, he was named to the Mountain East Conference (MEC) All-Tournament Team 2016.

A celebration of Justin’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2018, at Rowan County Senior High School with Pastor Kendall Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Hunter Bradley, Coach Jason Davis, Ethan Farley, Coach Kelly Ford, Coach Max Hammond III, Coach Sean Loyd (WVSU), Trayvis Patterson, Coach Shawn Thacker, David “DJ” Townsend. Honorary pallbearers: Justin’s former teammates and classmates.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday, April 22, 2018, from 12 noon until the service at 3 p.m. (RCSHS, 499 Viking Drive, Morehead, KY 40351)
