OBITUARIES
MILLS - William Francis Mills, long a resident of near LaDue, died Monday, July 8, 1946 at his home. He was born July 26, 1870 in the LaDue community, the son of John and Katherine Mills. On May 24, 1892, Miss Dora Dowell became his bride and they established their home at LaDue where they continued to reside. Of their four children a son, Wiley Roe Mills of Hugo, Oklahoma., survives with his mother; also one sister, Mrs. Sarah Pennington of Harrisonville, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was an humble Christian, a loyal husband and father and was employed many years on the section. After retirement he did odd jobs, gardening and harvesting for he was never idle. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at the LaDue Methodist Church, by Rev. Randall, his pastor. Burial will be in the LaDue cemetery in charge of the Wilkinson morticians.
