Mr. Roy Dean Parsons, age 65 of Hays, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mr. Parsons was born April 19, 1952 in Wilkes County to George Clellan and Alma Broyhill Parsons. He was a Truck Driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers; Garland, Howard, Clellan, Gene and Pat Parsons.

Mr. Parsons is survived by a daughter; Laurie Johnson of Hays, two stepsons; John Teaster and Eddie Teaster of Statesville, eight grandchildren; Philip McDaniels, Joseph Allgood, Brooke Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Neil Teaster, Megan Teaster, MacKensie Teaster, Krista Teaster, two great grandchildren and a sister; Nola Mae Miller of Wilkesboro.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
