Dorine Holliday Clark, affectionately known as "Dot" was born on January 28, 1942 to Kelly and Florence Houston Holliday in Kemper County, MS.

Her formative years were spent in DeKalb, MS where she attended Gully Ridge School and New Hope Blackwater Baptist Church.

She married Willie Ben Clark Sr. in 1957; their union lasted 16 years. Dot settled into a loving relationship with her longtime companion and life partner, Clinton Davis. They raised ten wonderful children: Larry Dell, Deborah Lynn, Jimmy Wayne, Patricia Ann, Cedric, Terrell Lamont, and Larry Davis, Steve Davis, Marie and Clinton Leroy Davis. They lived in Meridian, MS for 45 years and made Hooper street their home.

Dot's main focus was providing for family. She was no stranger to hard work. At a young age, she was employed as a housekeeper at Union Hotel for nearly ten years. For just as long, she was an entrepreneur, providing in home child care for family and friends. She returned to the workforce in 1989 as a cook for Queen City Truck Stop, where she retired after 26 years of service. Dot was a cook indeed. Everyone loved her home cooked meals. She was famous for her biscuits, sugar syrup, apple and sweet potato jacks and homemade dressing.

She had a knack for growing too. Her healthy green thumb produced the most beautiful flowers in her neighborhood. She was a collector of crystals and silver tableware and she enjoyed leisure time chatting with close family and friends and watching stories on television: The Bold & The Beautiful and Young & The Restless. Dot fed people- not only with food, but with wisdom and encouraging words. She was a servant to those in need. She made the impossible, possible and she did so with a smile on her face.

Dot accepted Christ as her savior. She loved the Lord; and she loved her family-to know Dot is to love her. She will be missed.

Dot made her transition Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the age of 76.

She was the Special Significant Other and Mate of Clinton Davis; the Former Wife of Willie Ben Clark; the Mother of Larry Dell, Deborah Lynn Clark, Jimmy Wayne Clark, Patricia Ann Clark, Cedric Levron Clark, Terrell Lamont Clark, Larry Davis, Steve Davis, Marie Davis, and Clinton Leroy Davis; the Daughter of Kelly Holliday and Florence Houston Holliday; the Sister of Maude Holliday Fox, Edna Holliday Allen, Peggy Holliday Oatis, Helen Holliday Finley, Juanita Holliday Pollock, Ruby Nell Holliday Windham, Dorothy Holliday Hart, Leamon Holliday, Kelly Holliday, Jr., Wallace Holliday, Donald Holliday, Lamous "Ted" Holliday, and George Washington Holliday; the Paternal Granddaughter of Willis Holliday and Georgia Clark Holliday; and the Maternal Granddaughter of Jessie Houston and Mary Houston Houston Hudson Williams.
