Mary Lou Crews, 88, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born April 29, 1929 to John and Carrie Townsend in Glen St. Mary, FL. Mary Lou enjoyed crocheting and traveling. She loved her family very much and let everyone know she was the boss. Mary Lou was also a wonderful homemaker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years W.S. Crews. Mary Lou is survived by her children Roger (Marlene) Crews, Sharon (George) Dugger, Karen (Mike) Bennett, William (Tanya) Crews, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, 1 sister Betty Townsend, and 3 sister-in-laws Ginger Townsend, Lottie Dirks, Frances Crews as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was a long time member of Woodstock Park Congregational Holiness Church. Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home is serving the family. A visitation for friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 beginning at 10:00am at Woodstock Park Congregational Holiness Church, 3201 Columbus Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32254 with interment at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Woodstock Park Congregational Holiness Church building fund. The family wishes to thank Community Hospice on Ramona Blvd. for the care of their mother.
