Mr. Butler had been an accountant for Indiana Molding Co. and later for MACO Inc., both of Huntington, retiring in 1972.

He was the widower of Evelyn F. Lincoln Butler.
Survivors include son, Robert C. Butler; daughter, Carol J. Lower; brother, John Butler; sisters, Loraine Jacobs, Marion Corey, Frances Shutes, Kathryn Gasior, Hilda Jean Harmon, and Rosemond Inman; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
